R.I.P. Johnny Ramone

After a five-year battle with cancer, Johnny Ramone passed away yesterday afternoon at age 55, leaving drummer Tommy Ramone as the only original member of the band still with us. As usual, the Times obituary is the best one out there. Further tributes are sure to pop up in the Village Voice, Rolling Stone, etc. in the coming days and weeks. I say we remember him by getting drunk and playing his music loud enough to piss off the neighbors. Have fun up there, Johnny. Give Joey and Dee Dee our love.
